19 Covid-19 deaths confirmed on Wednesday
Oct 22 (FT) Health officials confirmed 19 COVID-19 deaths on Wednesday, raising the country�s COVID-19 death toll to 13,562. 11 COVID-19 deaths confirmed on Wednesday were male and eight were female. Of the total COVID-19 fatalities, 7,583 are male and 5,979 are female. 15 COVID-19 deaths confirmed on Wednesday were over the age of 60 and four COVID-19 deaths were from the 30 to 59 age group. Oct 22 (FT) LOLC Holdings PLC said yesterday it has received the balance $ 225 million (around Rs. 45.6 billion) from the sale of its final 21% stake in Cambodian microfinance giant PRASAC. The conclusion of the exit on 19 October meant that the LOLC Group had realised $ 647 million from the sale of a 70% stake in PRASAC. 11,593 persons vaccinated on Wednesday
Oct 22 (FT) COVID-19 vaccines were administered to 11,593 persons on Wednesday, with health officials stating that 87.9% of the population over the age of 20 has received both doses of a vaccine. 14,789,068 persons have received the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and 12,850,329 persons have received the second dose as well. 68.79% of the total population of SL has received the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, while 59.73% has received both doses.

555 persons test positive for COVID-19
Oct 22 (FT) SL�s COVID-19 detections rose to 533,860 with the detection of 555 COVID-19 patients yesterday. 554 patients detected yesterday were from the New Year cluster and one was an overseas arrival. 4,153 PCR tests were conducted yesterday. On Wednesday, 6,518 PCR tests and 3,635 rapid antigen tests were conducted.
