Drought Cascades: 644,377 persons in 12 districts already hit

Jan 19 (Island) The Ministry of Disaster Management as of yesterday has estimated that thus far 644,377 people in the districts of Trincomalee, Kandy, Kalutara, Hambantota, Moneragala, Badulla, Anuradhapura, Jaffna, Mannar, Batticaloa, Mullaitivu and Ratnapura have been affected by the drought.
