Sept 2 (FT) A young man robbed S$ 30,000 at MNC bank branch in Holland Village in Singapore on 7 July. Robber simply delivered a handwritten note to the bank employee at the counter and got away with the money and took a flight on the same day to Bangkok. CPC, LIOC dealt double whammy
Sept 2 (FT) The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation and Lanka IOC Plc have been dealt a double whammy of back-to-back hikes in taxes, increasing their cost and threatening financial viability, though the Finance Ministry thinks otherwise. Lankan detained with fake Indian passport
