Only this week Kumar Sangakkara described it as the "heal-all of Sri Lanka's social evils".

The then Govt, elected in a landslide in 1977, cracked down hard on striking workers in July 1980. Why does this govt hate universities? |
June 6 (LB) Why has this government taken to such an all out confrontation with intellectuals and the university community - that is students, teachers and prospective future students? The positives came together eventually.
