Oct 27 (DN) A batch of 300 Sri Lankan youth left for Israel last night for employment under a program organised by the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE). Addressing the Sri Lankan workers at a ceremony to handover their visas and other travel documents, its Chairman Kingsley Ranawaka said. During the first stage of their employment they will be attached to various firms in Israel for six months and paid a monthly salary amounting Sri Lankan rupees 110,000.

Over 7,000 arrested in narcotics raids |
