Ingredients:
2 lbs Potato
1 lb onion
4 oz peanut
4 oz sprats (optional)
Salt to taste
Turmeric powder, Red pepper flakes, sugar, tamarind paste
Oil for fryingMethod:
Cut potato into small wedges and put some turmeric powder and salt. Let it stand for 20 minutes.
Thinly slice onions and put some turmeric powder and salt into it. Let that also stand for few minutes.
You will find some water formed in potato and onion. Drain the water and pat them dry.
Heat the oil and fry potato and onion separately until golden brown.
(Potato should cook through)
Drain the excess oil into paper towels.
Fry sprats and drain them as well.
Mix tamarind paste, salt, and sugar with a little bit of water.
Then, heat 2 TBsp of oil and add peanuts. Once they get golden color add red pepper flakes and the tamarind mixture.
Mix with potato, onion and sprats.
