chicken - 1/2 kg
fennel powder - 2 tsp
onions- 200 gm
garlic - 15 pods
pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
chilli powder - 2 tsp
coriander powder - 1 tsp
curd - 1/2 cup
turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
salt to taste
oil to cookclean and marinate chicken with salt, turmeric powder, chilli powder, curd, 1 tsp of oil and coriander powder for 2 hrs.
make a fine paste of onions and garlic.
heat 4 tsp of oil in a pan, fry fennel pdr, till a nice aroma comes; add the garlic -onion paste, fry till light golden colour; add peeper powderand saute for a minute. add the maroinated chicken ; saute for 2 minutes anbd add 1 cup of water; cover with lid and cook in medium fiore till well cooked; check for salt and adjust; garnish with coriander leaves ; serbve hot with rice or bread;
nb: this preparation can be made as a thin gravy or thick . adjust salt accordingly.
