1,251 MW of solar power generation expected by end of this year
Jun 28 (DM) Sri Lanka is expected to achieve a total capacity of 1,251 MW from solar power generation by the end of this year, Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera said. While issuing a graph on solar power generation, the Minister said that it is expected to generate 1,100 MW of total solar capacity by the end of this month. 944 MWs are connected to the national grid from roof-top solar development, and 156 MWs are connected from ground-mount solar development.
