Egg prices on the rise after court suspends gazette on MRP
Dec 16 (AD) The market price at which eggs are being sold at has reportedly increased, following the suspension of the gazette extraordinary published by the CAA stipulating a maximum retail price (MRP) on eggs. 34 port unions threaten lightning strike to scuttle move to sell Colombo East Terminal

Drug Addiction: 81 students directed to rehabilitation
Dec 16 (CT) Minister of Education Susil Premajayantha said, 81 schoolchildren have been directed to rehabilitation as a result of drug addiction. Therefore, as a remedy, the Education Ministry will launch a mindfulness programme, as a pilot programme for schoolchildren, on 4 January in all schools, in an effort to reduce stress on children�s minds, and in a bid to dissuade them from getting involved in illegal activities such as drug addiction and violent incidents.
