Sri Lankan, Indian navies to carry out military drill to enhance inter-operability
Oct 19 (PTI) The navies of India and SL will conduct a three-day military exercise off Trincomalee beginning Monday, in a show of growing congruence in their strategic interests and operational convergence in the region. COVID-19 tally increases to 5,538
Oct 19 (NR) The number of COVID-19 cases confirmed in the country has risen to 5,538 following the detection of 63 patients yesterday. Yesterday�s cases include 61 linked to the Minuwangoda cluster and two arrivals from Japan. Minuwangoda cluster has risen to 2,075. Ministry of Health confirmed that 2,122 persons including 16 foreign nationals are currently receiving medical treatment for coronavirus at 19 hospitals across the country. 306 suspected cases are also under medical observation.
