Aug 17 (EN) State-run Bank of Ceylon, the largest commercial bank in the country has reported a loss 296 million rupees for the June 2020 quarter, from a profit of 2.8 billion rupees last year as the lender recognized interest losses on a Coronavirus moratorium early. Power outage also disrupts water supply |
Aug 17 (AD) The water supply in several areas has also been disrupted due to the island-wide power outage experienced in the country. A spokesman of the National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) said the water supply from pumping stations without electric generators.
