Mar 18 (Island) Kalutara District Crime Division sleuths� timely intervention last week saved a valuable mahogany tree, planted on the Yahala Kele rubber estate in Moragahahena, Horana, by Argentinean revolutionary Ernesto Che Guevara when he visited Sri Lanka 58 years ago. Suspects had been able to fell several mahogany trees near the valuable tree which is in records as the only surviving tree in the world, planted by Che Guevara.
