Apr 8 (CT) The Kotakethana serial killer has struck again, or so it appears, devouring his 26th victim and his 16th or 18th woman victim on Sunday, after apparently lying low for six months, before striking again. Gem mine collapse leaves 4 dead |
Apr 8 (Xinhua) Four people were killed and one seriously injured when a gem mine collapsed in Ratnapura, almost 100 km southeast of Colombo on Wednesday, police said. The accident occurred when five employees of a gem mining company were at work searching for gems. Four of the employees were killed on the spot when the mine collapsed while the injured was rushed to the Ratnapura Hospital for treatment.
