Dearth of nurses in Northern hospitals |
Jan 3 (CT) The Jaffna Teaching Hospital has a shortage of more than 1,000 nurses to carry out its daily activities, the Govt Nursing Officers' Association (GNOA) claimed yesterday. Addressing the media, GNOA President Saman Ratnapriya said, Jaffna General Hospital needs approximately 1,600 nurses to carry out its activities, but it only has 384 nurses.
