Police vow legal action against those who deface Colombo

10 acres of forest land destroyed

Sept 5 (DM) An area extending up to 10 acres in the Imaduwa State Timber Reserve in Laggala was completely destroyed due to a wild fire, police media spokesman Prishantha Jayakody said. Mobile prostitution ring: Suspects get bail

Sept 5 (DM) Six women and two men who were allegedly involved in a mobile prostitution ring at the Galle Face Green were released on bail after being produced before the Colombo Fort Magistrate Ms. Lanka Jayaratne. Sept 5 (LP) A pharmacy at Borella which issued a wrong drug on a correct prescription to Health Minister Maithripala Sirisena is to be prosecuted by the National Drugs Authority, Health Ministry sources disclosed.
