Apr 5 (AD) A group in civics this afternoon (forcibly removed mainly Buddhist monks engaged in a fast unto death in Colombo to demand freedom for detained Gen. Sarath Fonseka. However, police said they had obtained a court order and dispersed the four monks and two laypersons, who were into the fourth day of their fasting in front of Fort Railway Station. It initially began as an indefinite fast, but was later turned into a fast unto death yesterday.
