Sep 26 (DM) Police said a staggering sum of rupees eight million was the single highest deposit uncovered so far, in the major financial scam devised by once popular English teacher Sakvithi Ranasinghe. Death toll 9 in illicit liquor poisoning

Sep 26 (LD) The number of deaths reported after a group consumed illicit liquor in the Weliweriya area of Gampaha two days ago has increased to nine.
