May 27 (LBO) Profits at Colombo Dockyard Ltd (CDL), Sri Lanka's sole listed ship builder, surged 50 percent in the March quarter largely with ship repair work, an official said. Net profit for the first quarter rose to 200 million rupees from 133.6 million rupees in the same period last year, while consolidated revenue increased to 1.98 billion rupees from 1.71 billion rupees, results filed with the Colombo Stock Exchange showed.
